Supermodel Mahieka Sharma has firmly pushed back against a wave of speculation linking her to an engagement and even a pregnancy with Indian cricket star Hardik Pandya.

The couple, who have been openly sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media, recently performed a Mangalwar puja for “good health, peace, and prosperity.” However, what was meant to be a private spiritual gesture quickly turned into a storm of online theories about a major life update.

The buzz began when Mahieka was photographed wearing a prominent ring on her finger, prompting social media users to assume the couple had sought blessings ahead of an engagement. The speculation intensified as some users went on to fuel pregnancy rumours, suggesting the model might be expecting her first child with Hardik.

Mahieka, known for her wit and candour, responded to the chatter with a dose of humour. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she posted a graphic image alongside the caption, “me watching the internet decide I'm engaged but I just wear nice jewelry every day (sic)”.

This way she directly addressed the engagement rumours and followed it with another playful story tackling the pregnancy claims, writing, “wyd if I pull up in this to fight the pregnancy rumours (sic).”

Hardik Pandya and Mahieka Sharma have been increasingly open about their relationship, frequently sharing affectionate posts and public appearances.

The cricketer’s personal life has been under heightened scrutiny since his separation from former wife Natasa Stanković. The two had married in May 2020 and renewed their vows in February 2023 in dual ceremonies embracing both Hindu and Christian traditions.

This was a tough decision given the joy, mutual respect, and companionship we shared as a family. We are blessed with Agastya, who will remain at the center of both our lives. We will continue to co-parent to ensure his happiness.”
