During the IPL 2025 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), SRH owner Kavya Maran was spotted sharing a warm hug with Manju Sharma and Raj Kumar Sharma, the proud parents of SRH opener Abhishek Sharma. The heartwarming moment was captured on camera and has since gone viral across social media platforms.

Abhishek lit up the match with a sensational knock, smashing 141 runs off just 55 balls. He brought up his century in just 40 deliveries, making it the third-fastest century by an Indian in IPL history. The explosive left-hander marked the milestone with a passionate celebration, holding up a note that read: "This Is For SRH Family."

It was a remarkable comeback for the SRH opener, who had struggled for form earlier in the season with scores of 24, 6, 1, 2, and 18. His dip in performance had coincided with SRH’s slump, as the team failed to win a single match since their opening victory. But with Abhishek back in top gear, SRH roared to life, chasing down a massive target of 246 in just 18.3 overs — registering the second-highest successful run chase in IPL history.

"It's not easy for any player to go through that form," he said in the post-match presentation ceremony, as quoted by Cricbuzz.

"Special mention to the team and captain, very simple message to the batters although I was not doing well. Had a talk with Travis and it was a special day for both of us. I never play anything behind the wicket, I was trying a few shots because I wanted to invent a few shots because of the size and the bounce on this wicket. The whole team is waiting for my parents. They are very lucky for the team and Orange Army. We did not talk anything, we just wanted to express and play the natural game. This one is very special and I was thinking that I wanted to break the losing streak, it was very tough as a player and as a youngster, but the mood in the team was very good. Special mention to Yuvi (paaji), I have been talking to him and also thanks to Suryakumar Yadav as well. I have been in touch with him and he has been there for me," he added.
