Social media erupted with memes after RJ Mahvash, rumoured to be Yuzvendra Chahal's girlfriend, was spotted during the IPL 2025 clash between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh on Sunday (April 20).
In a moment of perfect timing, the cameraman captured RJ Mahvash on the big screen just as Chahal came on to bowl. However, the leg-spinner’s first ball was smashed for a six by RCB batter Devdutt Padikkal. The amusing coincidence quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media with memes linking Chahal's on-field struggles to Mahvash’s presence in the stands.

Coming to the contest and first innings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru spinners Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma delivered tight spells to restrict Punjab Kings to a modest 157 for six in their IPL clash on Sunday.
Krunal, the left-arm spinner, impressed with figures of 2 for 25, while leg-spinner Suyash picked up 2 for 27, both making the most of a pitch offering a hint of sluggishness after RCB chose to bowl first.
Punjab had actually begun brightly, with Priyansh Arya (22) and Prabhsimran Singh (33) putting together a brisk 42-run stand in just 4.2 overs. Sensing the need for a change, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar introduced Krunal Pandya in the fifth over—a decision that paid immediate dividends. Krunal removed Arya with a slower ball that the batter mistimed, allowing Tim David to complete a simple catch near the circle.
That breakthrough triggered a collapse, with Punjab losing three wickets for just 14 runs, stumbling to 76 for four. Their woes deepened with a disastrous run-out of Nehal Wadhera, recalling their recent meltdown against Kolkata Knight Riders when they were bundled out for 111 at the same ground.
The dismissals of captain Shreyas Iyer and Josh Inglis were particularly disappointing. Iyer attempted an ambitious drive off RCB debutant Romario Shepherd, but only managed a toe-end, giving Krunal an easy catch with a fine diving effort.
Inglis, who had shown some aggression with scooped boundaries off Shepherd and a six over long-on off Krunal, fell to Suyash. Trying to carve the spinner over the covers, Inglis gave himself too much room, only for the ball’s sharp side-spin to sneak away from his bat.
