England captain Jos Buttler smashed 83 runs off just 45 balls against West Indies at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Monday (November 11). Enroute his match-winning knock, Buttler smashed a colossal six off Gudakesh Motie in the second T20I of the 5-match series. Buttler stepped out of his crease at the perfect time to hit the maximum which sailed out of the stadium.

The spectacular moment happened during the ninth over of England innings. Motie bowled a length ball and the England skipper charged down the wicket to send it over the roof for a massive 115-meter six.

Coming to the match, chasing a total of 159, England opener Phil Salt who smashed a century in the previous game departed for a golden duck in this one. However, Jos Buttler and Will Jacks built-up a 129-run partnership off just 72 deliveries to get England in the commanding position.

Buttler scored 83 off 45 balls, including 8 fours and 6 sixes. Liam Livingstone later on came to guide England over the line with his little cameo of 23 off 11 balls. Put to bat first, some of the West Indies batters failed to impress. Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford and more failed to make an impression as West Indies could only put 158 runs on the board after 20 overs.

"Great to spend some time in the middle. Bit scratchy in the first few balls but managed to come through that period. I've got lots of experience. Have batted in different positions. At number three, you can come in second ball or outside the powerplay. He's got unbelievable talent (Will Jacks). Can play shots not many others can. He played really smart. Realised I was going after the bowling and gave me the strike. Has played a lot of franchise cricket. On this ground it seems to be an advantage bowling first. There was a bit of movement. He's pretty unique (Mousley).. Not many guys bowl like he does. One of his biggest attributes is his character. Always wants the ball, always want to be in the hotspots in the field," said Buttler after winning the game.
