IPL: Varun Aaron drops cheeky remark about Jos Buttler's wife

Jos Buttler continued his rich form in the clash between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. The wicketkeeper-batter hammered 64 off 37 balls, featuring three boundaries and four maximums, before getting out against SRH skipper Pat Cummins in the 19th over.

However, by the time he departed, his job was done and almost to perfection. Buttler was involved in two explosives 50-plus stands, which pushed Gujarat beyond the 200-run mark with over two overs to spare. He started with a 62(37) partnership with skipper Shubman Gill, who himself smoked 76 off 38 balls before a run-out led to his wicket. Buttler then added 57 runs off 34 balls with Washington Sundar for the third wicket, which saw the former do the bulk of scoring while the Indian struggled to get going despite spending a significant time in the middle.

While Buttler's knock was praise worthy, Varun Aaron on commentary, however, made a cheeky remark about the batter's wife, Louise, while doing the same. He was quickly corrected by co-commentator Harsha Bhogle. Here's how the conversation transpired between Varun and Bhogle...

Varun: "Behind every great man is a woman and his wife is a Pilates instructor"

Harsha: "Varun, Varun I think the appropriate term is alongside."

Harsha: "You are saying she drives him Varun, Pilates trainer."

Varun: "Sorry I went to the old saying, I should have gone with the more updated one. It's really silly on me."

Harsha: "nah, nah, nah!"

Meanwhile, GT's top 3, who have been enjoying rich form, continued their sensational show and made the SRH attack appear completely dull. Riding on their knocks, GT, who were invited to bat first, piled a gigantic 224-6 in 20 overs.
