IPL 2024: KKR's Rinku Singh finally gets a second bat from RCB's Virat Kohli after breaking his earlier one, watch video

A video shared by KKR shows Rinku Singh explaining to Virat Kohli how his old bat, a gift from Kohli himself, had broken while he was playing a spinner. Now, it seems King Kohli has gifted Rinku a replacement bat.

Rinku Singh, a prominent batsman for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), is happy to have received a new cricket bat from Virat Kohli, the renowned batter of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). This is the second time Virat has presented a bat to Rinku.

The exchange was highlighted in a social media video where Rinku was seen asking Virat for another bat after the first one he had got earlier in the season broke. The moment took place following KKR's narrow win against RCB at the Eden Gardens stadium, where they triumphed by a single run.

In the video, Rinku can be seen explaining, "I broke the bat against a spinner."

Replying to him, Kohli asked, "My bat? You broke it against a spinner? Where did it break?"

Rinku replied , "From the middle."

Kohli then told Rinku, "No problem. Good that you told me. But I don’t need this information."

Kohli further added, "You took a bat from me previously. Now you want a second bat in the second game? Because of you, I face consequences later."

Now, it seems Rinku has been given a replacement, as seen in a video where he is revealing the new bat to an inquiring fan. When asked by the fan, 'Rinku bhai, bat mila?', Rinku Singh happily responded by showing the bat and confirming he received it with a 'mil gya'.

KKR has had a strong season so far, currently sitting second in the IPL points table with five wins out of seven matches, totaling 10 points. Looking ahead, the two-time IPL champions are set to play their next game against the Punjab Kings on Friday.
