David Miller showcased his tremendous fielding abilities and executed an excellent one-handed stunner to leave Tilak Varma shell-shocked during the second T20I between India and South Africa at St George's Oval on Sunday.  Miller's effort brought an end to Varma's stay in the middle, who departed for run-a-ball 20 after South Africa won the toss and invited India to bat. The spectacular moment took place in eighth over bowled by Aiden Markram. The South Africa skipper bowled it full and wide, which allowed a settled Varma to open his arms. He connected the ball well, which certainly deserved a boundary, but Miller had other plans. Despite having less than a second to react, Miller got his hand up while taking a step to his right and plucked the ball in the process. The moment left Varma in shock, who waited for a second or two, before taking the long walk back to the pavilion.

After an emphatic 61-run win in the previous encounter, the Men In Blue were handed a reality check by the Proteas pace trio comprising Marco Jansen, Gerald Coetzee, and Andile Simelane. Sanju Samson, who scored a ton in the previous encounter, was cleaned up by Jansen for 0, while Coetzee got rid of Abhishek Sharma for 4(5). Simelane then trapped Suryakumar for 4(9), who had a brief chat with Varma but decided against taking a review.

Varma and Axar Patel helped India rebuild and added 30 runs for the fourth-wicket before Miller's spectacular effort gave South Africa a breakthrough. Axar then kept things moving with Hardik Pandya before getting run-out in the most unfortunate fashion for 27(21).

South Africa maintained the tempo throughout the Indian innings as Pandya returned unbeaten on 39 off 45 balls, guiding India to a modest 124/6 in 20 overs.
