1985 Benson and Hedges World Championship: India thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets in Melbourne. Kapil Dev and Laxman Sivaramakrishnan scalped three wickets each and helped India restrict Pakistan to 176/9, a target which India chased down comfortably. 1994 Austral-Asia Cup: Pakistan won the match by 39 runs. Batting first, Pakistan scored 250/6 with Saeed Anwar (47) and Aamer Sohail (69) providing a strong start. Basit Ali then scored 57 batting at No. 5. India in response could only manage 211, with Vinod Kambli scoring 56, the only half-centurion among the Indians, but it came in 99 balls. 2007 T20 World Cup: India won the match by five runs. In an exciting final, India, batting first, managed to post a modest 157/5 with Gautam Gambhir scoring 75(54) and Rohit Sharma batting at No. 6 chipping in with 16-ball 30* cameo. Pakistan in response were all-out for 152 with Misbah-ul-Haq being the final batter to be dismissed while attempting a scoop towards fine-leg. ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Pakistan thrashed India by 180 runs.Openers Azhar Ali and Fakhar Zaman stitched 128 for the opening wicket as Pakistan ultimately posted a staggering 338/4 in 50 overs. Azhar scored 59, Fakhar knocked 114 before getting out. Later Mohammad Hafeez joined the show and smoked 37-ball 57. India in response lost Rohit Sharma (0) and Virat Kohli (5) cheaply with Mohammad Amir making both injections. MS Dhoni too managed 4, batting in the middle-order. Hardik Pandya's 43-ball 76 lifted some hopes, which were crushed due to a mix-up between him and Ravindra Jadeja. India were eventually all-out for 158. (Photo- AP)
