In a major development, Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma announced that Prayagraj is set to get its first-ever super speciality hospital. This landmark facility will be established with an investment of ₹100 crore by the Urban Development Department, marking a significant step forward in the region's healthcare infrastructure.

The announcement was made following a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Wednesday. During the meeting, key proposals were approved to further boost infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development across the state.

As part of its progressive initiatives, the Uttar Pradesh government has also approved the issuance of municipal bonds for the development of urban infrastructure in Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra. Minister Sharma revealed that ₹50 crore has been allocated for each of these three municipal corporations.

The Chief Minister highlighted the success of previously issued municipal bonds in Lucknow and Ghaziabad, which have yielded positive results. “Bonds will now be issued for Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra. This is a key medium for branding municipal corporations and fostering their development,” CM Yogi Adityanath stated.

In addition to the super speciality hospital in Prayagraj, the Cabinet approved the establishment of three new medical colleges in Hathras, Kasganj, and Baghpat, further enhancing healthcare accessibility in the state.

The government also announced the creation of 62 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and five centres of innovation, invention, and training to strengthen education and skill development opportunities.

The Uttar Pradesh Aerospace and Defence employment policy, which has been in place for five years, will undergo a significant renewal. The revised policy aims to attract higher investments through new incentives, fostering economic growth and employment opportunities.

These initiatives underscore the Uttar Pradesh government’s commitment to holistic development, with a focus on healthcare, urban infrastructure, education, and industry. The upcoming super speciality hospital in Prayagraj is a vital addition to the city's healthcare system and will address critical medical needs while setting a benchmark for future advancements.
