Gupta Navratri 2025, also known as Ashadha Navratri or Gayatri Navratri, is a sacred nine-day festival dedicated to the worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga, also referred to as Navadurga. This spiritually significant period falls in the Ashadha month, which corresponds to June–July in the Gregorian calendar.

Unlike the more widely celebrated Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri, Gupta Navratri is observed in a more discreet and meditative manner, primarily by spiritual seekers and Tantric practitioners aiming for deep sadhana and divine blessings. In 2025, Gupta Navratri will begin on June 26 (Thursday) and conclude on July 4 (Friday).

Gupta Navratri 2025: Day-Wise Calendar and Deity Worship

The word “Gupta” means hidden or secret, symbolising that this Navratri is for internal spiritual practice, deep meditation, and invoking the goddess through personal devotion. Tantrik practitioners, yogis, and devotees perform special sadhanas during these nine days, believing that worship during Gupta Navratri brings quick spiritual advancement and blessings of the Divine Mother.

The nine days are dedicated to the nine avatars of Maa Durga, who each represent different aspects of strength, compassion, wisdom, and protection.

Ashadha Gupta Navratri Rituals 

• Ghatasthapana (Kalash Sthapana): On Day 1, devotees install a sacred Kalash (pot) symbolising Goddess Shakti in their homes or temples.
• Daily Goddess Puja: Each day is devoted to one of the Navadurga goddesses with proper rituals, mantra chanting, and prayers.
• Fasting and Sattvic Diet: Devotees observe fasts and consume only light sattvic food to purify the mind and body.
• Japa and Meditation: Regular chanting of mantras like “Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vichche” and Gayatri Mantra is common.
• Sandhi Puja: Performed at the junction of Ashtami and Navami, it is one of the most powerful rituals of Navratri.
• Navratri Parana: On Navami, the puja is concluded with offerings to young girls (Kanya Pujan) and charitable donations.
