'The ultimate hat hair': Trump's new hairstyle gets mixed response on social media

United States President-elect Donald Trump, who will be taking oath on January 20, was seen sporting a noticeably different hairstyle, which went viral on social media.

Dressed in a simple white golf t-shirt and black pants, Trump recently made an appearance at the Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Trump looked relaxed walking up to greet visitors and reportedly  asked them if they were enjoying their time. A red cap dangled from his fingers, as seen in a video uploaded to X.

However, Trump’s hair, often characterised by its distinctive volume, appeared flat and slicked down, leading many to believe he had undergone a new haircut.

Some users were puzzled by the apparent transformation, with one writing, “What did they do to his hair?” while others joked about what they dubbed “the ultimate hat hair.” Someone asked if he got a “mullet” haircut.

The timing of his golf outing and the subsequent hair-related memes raised eyebrows, especially considering the ongoing legal troubles surrounding a hush money scandal. After this victory, Trump became the first leader in over a century to serve non-consecutive terms since Grover Cleveland’s re-election in 1892, as per data. He also became the oldest person to be elected to office at 78 years.

In June 2019, when the Republican politician was serving his first term as the US President, he ditched his trademark bouffant for a more “combed” or slick hair makeover. Trump’s uncommon hair caused a stir on social media the same way it did now.
