On Day 2 of the fourth Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal found form, scoring 82 before being run out due to a mix-up with Virat Kohli, who was then dismissed for 36 by Scott Boland. India struggled further as night-watchman Akash Deep was dismissed for a duck. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja took India to 164/5 at stumps, still trailing by 310 runs. Earlier, Australia posted 474 in their first innings, with Steve Smith scoring 140 and Pat Cummins adding 49.
