After being on the backfoot for the first two sessions on the opening day, Team India have finally gained command in the ongoing Test against Bangladesh in Chennai. Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill returned unbeaten as India piled 81/3 in their second innings and were leading by 308 runs at Stumps on Day 2. Pant, who is relatively new in the middle, is batting on 12(13), while Gill accumulated 33 in 64 deliveries. The Indian innings, however, started on a slow note as Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 5 by Taskin Ahmed, and soon after Nahid Rana packed previous innings half-centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal for 10.
