A Hyundai Verna spotted in Gurgaon, Haryana has become the latest sensation on social media. The car, adorned with the Hindi word "kya" (why) right below Verna, translates to a cheeky "Verna kya" or "otherwise what” has become viral on microblogging site X.

The photograph, initially shared by X user Akshay Sharma, quickly gained traction, going viral with an impressive 2.7 lakh views and garnering over 8,000 likes. In his caption accompanying the post, Sharma declared, "Gurgaon humor remains undefeated."

The image sparked a wave of comments, with one user sharing a similar snapshot from an Odisha-based car, showcasing the infectious nature of regional wit. One user suggested, "he should have pasted the Kia logo instead," adding another layer to the banter.

Even language-learning app Duolingo joined the conversation, cleverly stating, "Gurgaon people when you ask them to do their lessons." One user simply wrote: “verna-cular”.

Here are some more comments:

Cheeky messages are often spotted on cars, buses, trucks, and even autorickshaws not just in India but across the world.

Just days ago, a car was spotted in Palo Alto, California with a "PhonePe" license plate, the owner's nod to his company that he joined last year.
