Akasa Air has expanded its presence in Gwalior with nonstop weekly flights between Gwalior and Mumbai and one-stop weekly connecting flights between Gwalior and Bengaluru via Mumbai. With this, the airline now connects Gwalior with three major cities — Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
It may be recalled that on February 1, 2024, Akasa Air inaugurated operations from Gwalior with weekly flights to/from Ahmedabad. The swift expansion is fuelled by growing demand for air travel to and from Gwalior.
Akasa Air’s brand-new fleet provides ample legroom and comes with USB ports in a majority of aircraft, allowing passengers to charge their gadgets and devices on the go. Café Akasa, the airline’s onboard meal service, offers an assortment of meals, including festive menus and industry-first options such as Kombucha. 'Pets on Akasa' policy allows customers to travel with their pets in the cabin or carry them in cargo based on their weight. In addition, Akasa Air has introduced its safety instruction card and onboard menu card in Braille for persons with visual impairment.
Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has served over 7.75 million passengers and connects 21 cities, namely Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Port Blair, Ayodhya, Gwalior, Srinagar, and Doha (Qatar).
