A woman who attended British singer Robbie Williams' concert in Sydney, Australia on Thursday died after falling down six rows of seats, a report in The Independent said.
The unnamed woman, who was a septuagenarian, was reportedly climbing over the chairs at the end of the show when she slipped and fell as thousands of fans rushed out of the Allianz Stadium in Moore Park, Sydney where the concert took place.
The woman suffered serious head injuries after falling down and was admitted to a local hospital in "critical condition", a statement released by New South Wales ambulance service said. The hospital said that the woman was kept in an induced coma but died on Tuesday.
"Rather than using stairs, the woman attempted to step over seating rows. She lost her footing and fell," a stadium spokesperson told the Sydney Morning Herald.
"This is a terribly sad incident and our thoughts and wishes are with the patron and their family during this time," the spokesperson added.
Williams is yet to comment on the incident but took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank his fans who attended the concert on Friday.
"Sydney: that was an unforgettable evening, thank you - I love you, Australia. Congratulations to Daniel and Lauren - I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Rob x," the singer wrote.
