A massive search that was going on a for a 12-year-old missing boy has finally come to an end. Parinav went missing from Bengaluru on Sunday and was found in Hyderabad’s Nampally area, three days later.
The boy, who loves pens and was often gifted expensive ones by his uncle, was seen trying to sell a Parker pen that he owned. “On Sunday, he was spotted behind the BMTC bus stop using the public toilet there. Later, after using the washroom, he tried to sell his Parker pen, which is costly, to a person for Rs 50 as he had no money with him. He is trying to survive by selling his belongings. We hope we can get him back home soon,” his father Sukesh told News18 before.
Parinav, who is a student at Deens Academy, Gunjur branch, was identified and spotted by a Bengaluru resident at the Nampally metro station on January 24. He was handed over to the railway authorities. His parents were also alerted.
According to an Instagram page, Namma Bengaluru, the boy walked from his coaching institute to Marathahalli. Then, he took a bus to Majestic and from there went to Mysore. From Mysore, he went to Chennai and then later took a train to Hyderabad.
Parinav’s mother confirmed the news as well and mentioned that he was safe and unharmed. She also thanked everyone for their help in a video message. The parents are now on their way to Hyderabad to pick up their son.
The boy was last seen in a CCTV footage near the Majestic bus station at around 4.30 pm on January 21. He had just attended his coaching classes and was seen wearing a yellow t-shirt with navy-blue pants. He was also carrying a backpack.
