A video of a Pakistani YouTuber schooling a man for covering her head during an interaction is doing the rounds of the internet. The clip featured Shaila Khan interviewing people on the streets and asking them about their take on the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. While talking to a man about the same, she was subjected to moral policing.

The man told her to do the “right thing” and claimed that she had committed a crime by standing in front of him without covering her head in an Islamic country. Seconds later, the man removed his shawl and put it over Khan’s head. However, the tables turned when the YouTuber sharply removed the shawl.

“Why does your Islam start and end over a dupatta?” she said while returning the shawl to the man. She claimed that she had her own dupatta and it will be her decision if and when she decided to cover her head. Khan further slammed the man by saying that the bigger sin was touching her without permission.

While giving a lesson on consent to the man, she also mentioned that he could be arrested for such behaviour on grounds of “social harassment”. However, the man didn’t budge and stuck to his point of view.

The video has gone viral since being shared and has also made its way to other social media platforms. Social media users hailed the YouTuber’s quick reply and her ability to clap back.

“Well done girl. More power to you,” one user wrote. Another user commented, “I salute this young and bold lady who said the right sentence to anyone who does moral policing.”

“It’s her choice,” a third user remarked.
