Pakistani TikTok sensation Minahil Malik is at the centre of a social media firestorm following the release of a controversial video that allegedly depicts her in intimate moments with her boyfriend. Despite her claims that the video is a “fake” fabrication, the influencer has been subjected to relentless trolling, igniting a fierce debate about accountability and morality in the digital age.
The uproar began when the footage, alongside explicit images of Malik, surfaced online, sending shockwaves through the Pakistani entertainment community. Critics have been quick to accuse the young star of orchestrating the scandal for publicity.
"Shameful to see these influencers stooping to the lowest level for fame & disgracing their families, parents & society," Pakistani actress Mishi Khan remarked in a pointed Instagram video. Although she refrained from naming Malik, her comments were unmistakably aimed at the TikToker, further intensifying public scrutiny.
Malik lodged a formal complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), asserting that the viral video is a hoax but the backlash from netizens continued unabated. Many social media users expressed disappointment and anger, with some labelling the incident a blatant publicity stunt.
Malik, reportedly born in 1994, has 1.8 million followers on her Instagram.
In her last Instagram post, shared 12 hours ago, Malik writes: “It was not easy for me, but I am done. It’s hard to say goodbye. No fights. Spread love. I’m leaving. I will miss you. I love you. Take care.”
She shared two other messages on her Instagram stories as well. The trolling in comments continued accusing her of doing ‘drama’ for attention and publicity.
