Radhika Merchant - Anant Ambani pre-wedding: A nine-page event guide and a wardrobe planner was sent to the elite guests ahead of their arrival in Jamnagar on March 1.

The three-day pre wedding bash of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, at Jamnagar from March 1 to 3, is touted to be one of the grandest celebrations ever witnessed.

There is a nine-page event guide and a wardrobe planner that has already been sent to the elite guest list that includes politicians, film stars, corporate honchos, businesspeople and celebrities.

The first theme is An Evening in Everland, where the dress code is a sophisticated 'elegant cocktail'. The next theme is A Walk on the Wildside, with a dress code of 'jungle fever' that will be safari themed clothes. And the third one is Mela Rouge with a dress code that says 'dazzling desi romance', that is said to imply traditional attire that is essential South Asian.

The last day of the celebration will have two different events. The first one titled Tusker Trails will have a dress code of 'casual chic' and the second event titled Hashtakshar, an elegant evening, will have a dress code of ‘heritage Indianwear’.

Interestingly, the detailed suggestions for the party theme-linked dress codes are optional. Guests have been told that they are absolutely free to choose what they feel is comfortable clothing with an emphasis that the invited guests should enjoy all moments and go on to create lasting memories on all days.

Guests had been arriving in Jamnagar since the morning of March 1, from 8 am to 1 pm. There were chartered flights from Mumbai or Delhi.

While all the dress codes have been given to the guests there are also instructions on the number of suitcases for the invitees. The nine-page guide requests all the guests to get only one cabin baggage and one luggage per person, with a couple being allowed to get three suitcases as more than that would not be on the same flight. According to reports, the guide said, “In order to accommodate everyone’s luggage, we ask you to pack consciously, with one item of hand luggage and one piece of hold luggage per person, or three total suitcases per couple. If you bring more luggage, we cannot guarantee it will arrive on the same flight as you, but we will do our best to bring it in at the earliest.”
