Emirates has forged an exclusive partnership with VFS Global to introduce a pre-approved visa on arrival facility in Dubai for Indian passport holders. The collaboration, set to streamline arrival processes for Emirates customers, promises a hassle-free entry into Dubai.

Announcing the partnership via X, Emirates revealed that the pre-approved visa on arrival is tailored for Indian passport holders who have booked their travel with the airline. This initiative, fulfilled by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), issues a 14-day single entry visa, enabling travellers to skip queues upon arriving in Dubai.

“We’ve partnered with VFS Global to introduce a pre-approved visa on arrival facility for Indian passport holders who have booked their travel with us. The new process will help customers skip queues when arriving in Dubai,” Emirates tweeted.


The streamlined process is simple: Emirates customers can secure their flights through emirates.com or their preferred travel agent. Upon retrieving their booking on emirates.com, customers can seamlessly navigate to the 'apply for a UAE visa' link.

This redirects them to the online UAE Visa application site powered by VFS Global Services. Here, the requirements, terms, and conditions are outlined, facilitating a smooth visa application process.

This service is exclusively available to Indian passport holders possessing a valid six-month visa for the US, US Green Card, EU Residency, or UK Residency. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs retains discretion over visa issuance.

Dubai, a perennial favourite among Indian travellers, boasts a diverse array of attractions and accommodation options catering to every taste, age, and budget.

Additionally, the city is home to a vibrant Indian community, often hosting family and friends from India and around the world. Dubai Tourism statistics reveal that between January and October 2023, the city welcomed a staggering 2 million overnight visitors from India.

Emirates, currently serving nine destinations in India with 167 weekly flights, serves as a crucial link connecting travellers to Dubai and an global network of over 140 destinations. The airline's Indian network includes Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram.
