A 22-year-old Italian woman is going to extreme lengths to transform herself into a ‘cat lady.’ Chiara Dell’Abate has gotten over 20 body modifications to change her appearance completely.
“I have always loved cats, and I think I’ll look really bold and fierce as a cat lady with the right body mods,” the Rome resident told Media Drum World.
To that end, Dell’Abate, who goes by the name Aydin Mod online, has already gotten a number of body modifications, tattoos and piercings. She has a split tongue, punched nostrils, four ‘horns’ on her forehead, eyeball tattoos, permanent eyeliner, and 72 piercings – including one on her upper lip and another on her inner labia.
The Italian ‘human cat’ has also undergone a blepharoplasty to remove excess skin from her eyelids and has subdermal implants on both her hands. Her nails are shaped like claws and her ears are pointed to complete the feline effect.
Despite all these body modifications and more, Dell’Abate feels her transformation is not yet done. “To achieve the full cat-like look, I will need a cat eyes lift or canthoplasty — surgery to produce more elongated and naturally almond-shaped eyes — teeth reshaping, upper lip cut, more fillers,” she explained.
The 22-year-old also plans to attach a tail. “I’ll put a thing called transdermal, which is like a huge micro dermal to attach a tail and definitely more tattoos,” she said.
While she is now making a conscious effort to look more cat-like, this was not always the case for Dell’Abate, who got her first ear stretching and piercing when she was just 11-years-old. In fact, the transformation into cat lady started only after some friends remarked how she had started resembling a cat with all her body modifications, despite the fact that she never planned to look like one.
“I think becoming a cat lady is more appropriate for me as I don’t really want to look like a cartoon character,” she explained.
