Bengaluru-based battery tech startup Log9 Materials has rebranded its mobility business into a full-stack electric vehicle (EV) asset management company Amphion.
The firm on April 22 unveiled Amphion at Day Zero 2024, Log9's annual event which was inaugurated by Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy.
Amphion will help customers with EV financing, data & analytics, charging infrastructure, and energy efficiency.
"Its comprehensive suite of services empowers stakeholders across the EV ecosystem. From fleet operators to drivers, Amphion offers solutions that optimize asset utilization, minimize downtime, and ensure cost-effective operations for a successful transition to electric mobility," Log9 founder and CEO Akshay Singhal said in a statement.
In April 2023, Log9 Materials, which had outlined an outlay of Rs 2,350 crore over the next few years, inaugurated the country's first lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.
Log9’s commercial Li-ion cell production facility, which will have an initial capacity of 50 Megawatt hours (MWh), will be located at its campus in Jakkur, Bengaluru.

According the Log9's statement, it has deployed almost 3,000 batteries in EVs which have covered around 5.5 million km.
Alongside the launch of Amphion, Log9 unveiled Nexmile, a new battery designed for commercial electric vehicles. Nexmile claims to have a 2X longer battery life, 5-year warranty, 3X faster charging and 120 Kms real-world range.
