There are another 800 new GCCs set to come up in the next five-six years increasing India’s prominence as the global tech hub. Many of these GCCs will be in tier-II cities like Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Vadodara, driving geographical diversification and employment in these locations.

Demand from graduates for fresher roles has also drastically declined by 37.4 percent between December 2022 and 2023, according to Indeed data.
The hiring is mainly centred around expansion plans for the next year. The startups say they are also looking for niche talent to prepare for the future and enter new markets.
