The project will be developed on the land parcels of BBMB in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, SJVN CMD Nand Lal Sharma said.
The company in a regulatory filing said that the Kayamkulam Floating Solar PV Project was declared on Commercial Operation with effect from 00:00 hours of June 24.

Under this package, valued at over Rs 400 Crore, BHEL envisages setting up a 525 TPD Sulphur Recovery Unit at IOCL’s Paradip Refinery in Odisha. The project is scheduled for completion in 25 months.
While the firm did not give the tariff it had bid to win the project, analysts said it had offered Rs 2 per unit.
The plant will be connected to its Energy Network Operation Centre (ENOC) that continuously monitors and analyses performance of over 80 solar and wind plants across diverse locations in India, it added.
The company previously counted GE Energy Financial Services as one of the investors. The average tariff of RattanIndia solar projects is Rs 4.50 per unit.
The project is developed on 5 rooftops of the industrial site, spread across 21,00,000 square feet, the company said in a statement.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which has a vast urban train network that relies on electricity, is a customer of the solar project and will receive 24 percent of its energy supply; the balance will go to discoms in Madhya Pradesh
The state government targets to set up 30,000 MW solar power plant by the year 2024-25 through the policy.
Anand Kumar, India's renewable energy secretary, said all the contracts have a 'force majeure' clause that companies can invoke to secure an extension on the project schedules.
Kadam also said nearly 56 per cent of the capacity auctioned in 2018 has been accounted for by central agencies, such as Solar Energy Corporation of India and NTPC Ltd, with the balance by state nodal entities and discoms under various state-level programmes.
The scrapping of bids has hit India's ambitious target of achieving 1,00,000 MW of solar capacity by 2022. The country has achieved 26,025.97 MW solar capacity till February this year.
The mini Navratan central government undertaking had set a target of generating 8,700 million units of electricity, SJVN Chairman and Managing Director R N Misra said.
"The 45 MW of Bhadla solar power project of NTPC in Rajasthan has been commissioned today. With this, the installed capacity of Bhadla solar power project has become 160 MW and that of NTPC's solar power projects has become 520 MW," a senior official said.
Under the agreement, Orange Renewable will develop a 100 mega watt (MW) solar power project under Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) phase - II, batch- III scheme, according to a release issued here.
"With this, RattanIndia's solar portfolio has increased to more than 290 MW which is spread across the country. The online reverse bidding for 10 projects with combined capacity of 500 MW was conducted," the company said in a press release.
"The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on February 10, 2016, has approved investment proposal for setting up 10.50 MW solar power project for captive use in the lease hold areas of company's mines situated in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, with a total estimated cost of Rs 61.83 crore," the company said in a BSE filing.
"The plant at Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh was inaugurated by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav under the Uttar Pradesh Solar Power Policy 2013," the company said in a statement.
This is the fifth consecutive win in Punjab, making Azure Power the largest owner and operator in the state with a total of 225 MW capacity under various stages, the statement added.
This is a consecutive win of Ujaas in the last three months after 9 MW at Oil India Rajasthan, 10 MW at Teesta Canal, West Bengal and 1000 KWp at Andaman & Nicobar, the company said.
"Rays Power Experts bagged a Rs 300 crore order from National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) limited," the company said in a release. As part of this order, Rays Power will implement the Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) Contract for development of 50 MW solar power project in Tamil Nadu.
