The Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden, Asia’s largest tulip garden, ensconced between Dal Lake and the Zabarwan hills here opened for the public on March 19. Besides 15 lakh tulips of various colours and hues, the garden, also known as Siraj Bagh, has other spring flowers, such as hyacinths, daffodils, muscari and cyclamens, on display.
The garden is spread over 30 hectares in the foothills of snow-clad Zabarwan Range. This year, the garden houses 15 lakh tulips of 62 varieties.
