Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla presented the certificates to the recipients in Delhi. The CAA, implemented months earlier, aims to grant citizenship to persecuted non-Muslim migrants. Under this act, the qualification period for citizenship application has been reduced from 11 to 5 years for these migrants.
