The leak occurred around 8:30 pm on Sunday at Shri Sagar Lubricant Oil Factory in Bagdun police station limits, killing three workers.

The latest death toll of 22, which includes at least one child, was announced on television news after a day in which ambulances ferried the injured to hospital and paramedics treated those with less severe ailments on the spot.
According to a preliminary report, the four workers died due to carbon monoxide gas leak from the unit, the officials said, adding that some others, who also fell ill after inhaling the toxic gas, are being treated at the RSP dispensary.
