Since May 3, ethnic violence has shaken the Northeastern state of Manipur due to clash between the majority Meitei community and other tribal communities.
The All Tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM) held a solidarity march in all districts in opposition to a Manipur High Court order directing the Manipur State government to send a recommendation to the Centre regarding the demand to include the Meitei community in the Scheduled Tribes on May 3.
