Nifty and Sensex closed today's trading session strongly, with most indices posting gains, driven significantly by a robust rally in auto and pharma stocks. At close, the Sensex was up 391 points or 0.5 percent at 80,351 and the Nifty 50 was up 112 points 24,433. About 1,777 shares advanced, 1,659 shares declined, and 82 shares remained unchanged.
