Hours after the Indian forces carried out a 'calibrated' strike neutralising several terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan, the Indian Army on Wednesday released a video footage of all the nine sites that were hit during the attack. The attacks, which were carried out from 1:05 am to 1:30 am, were in response to the terror attack in South Kashmir's Pahalgam.
A terror camp at Kotli (Abbas Terrorist Camp) was the first site that was destroyed during the precision strikes. The Army, detailing the site said the camp was located 13 km from the Line of Control in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The site is believed to be the nerve centre for training suicide bombers of terror Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The camp served as the key training infrastructure for over 50 terrorists.
Retaliating against the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed at least 26 lives, Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes in early hours of Wednesday on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base in Muridke.

Preliminary reports indicate over 70 terrorists were killed and more than 60 wounded, significantly degrading the operational capability of these groups. In an official statement, the Ministry of Defence confirmed hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir "from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed."

The retaliatory strikes comes hours before a planned security mock drill across the country for "effective civil defence in the event of a hostile attack", across 244 districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to pursue the perpetrators of the attack and those who took part in its conspiracy to the "ends of the earth" to inflict punishment on them "beyond their imagination".
