Delhi woke up to a thick smog morning but a slightly improved air quality as air quality index (AQI) went from 'severe' to 'very poor' on Sunday morning, according to Central Pollution Control Board. Although some areas still are still in the ‘Severe’ category and the AQI went as high as 412.
AQI at 7 am was recorded at 366 while it was 412 at 4 pm on Saturday.
AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, 401 and 500 ‘severe’, and above 500 ‘severe plus’.

Stringent anti-pollution measures under Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) are in effect across Delhi. Only CNG, electric, and BS-VI compliant vehicles are allowed entry into the city, while all other trucks are banned to reduce pollution levels.
All construction activities, including projects like highways, roads, flyovers, power lines, pipelines, and other public infrastructure, have been suspended.
