Emergency services arrived promptly after a passerby alerted authorities via a PCR call. Rajesh was discovered lying critically injured, surrounded by onlookers and an awaiting ambulance. Despite immediate medical intervention, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing Rajesh's body and a damaged bicycle on the flyover, highlighting the severity of the accident. The police have since filed an FIR under relevant sections of rash driving and causing death due to negligence as per the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Investigators have utilized footage from approximately 12 CCTV cameras to trace the suspect vehicle. They identified the car and its registration number, leading them to the transport authority for ownership details. However, complications have arisen due to inconsistencies in the provided address, suggesting the car may have changed hands multiple times.
The police are actively pursuing leads and conducting raids in hopes of locating the driver responsible. Authorities anticipate a breakthrough in the investigation by Sunday morning.
