The Navi Mumbai Police have apprehended four individuals allegedly associated with Lawrence Bishnoi's gang on suspicion of planning an attack on actor Salman Khan's car in Panvel. The news was reported by news agency ANI.
It is alleged that the group intended to procure weapons from a Pakistani arms supplier for this purpose.
Later, Navi Mumbai police ascertained that the gang was preparing to kill Salman Khan with the Turkey-made Zigana pistol which was also used to kill Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
The police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against over 17 people, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, and Goldy Brar. Further details are being pursued through an ongoing investigation, as confirmed by the Navi Mumbai Police to ANI.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan, according to a statement from the Navi Mumbai Police.
According to sources cited by the Times of India, a copy of the FIR lodged at the Panvel police station in Navi Mumbai has shed light on the alleged conspiracy involving incarcerated gangster Bishnoi, his cousin Anmol based in Canada, and their associate Goldy. The trio purportedly devised a plan to eliminate Salman Khan by procuring sophisticated weaponry, including an AK-47, M-16, and AK-92, from a supplier based in Pakistan.
