Police have registered a case against former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, former CID chief PV Sunil Kumar, and former Intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu following a complaint lodged by Undi MLA Raghurama Krishnam Raju.

The FIR includes multiple charges under sections 120b, 166, 167, 197, 307, 326, 465, 506 r/w of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Raghurama Krishnam Raju, in his complaint to the Superintendent of Police in Guntur, alleged that during his detention, PV Sunil Kumar, the then Director General of CID, along with PSR Anjaneyulu and other officers, assaulted him with a rubber belt and lathi.

He claimed they denied him access to necessary heart medication, despite knowing he had undergone bypass surgery. According to Raju, officers even sat on his chest, applied pressure, and attempted to kill him.

Raju further alleged that his phone was taken, and he was beaten until he disclosed its password. He stated that Dr. Prabhavathi at the Government General Hospital issued false medical certificates under police influence. Additionally, Raju claimed that PV Sunil Kumar threatened to kill him if he criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The police stated that Raju's complaint includes numerous serious and heinous allegations against several individuals, warranting a thorough investigation by the appropriate authorities.
