Thanks to more awareness through social media, more and more people are beginning to realise the importance of staying fit and prioritising health.  The moment you start working on your fitness level and health, you start to feel good and confident in your skin. While there are many benefits of being on social media, one major downside is that the onslaught of information, fitness tips and advice can get really confusing.

Come to think of it, sometimes one gets the impression from social media that getting fit involves a lot of hard work, discipline, crazy diets and long hours of workout. Bengaluru-based fitness coach Vijay Kumar told Moneycontrol that getting fit is one of the easiest things to do if one follows simple hacks.

25 fitness tips that can change the way you look and feel in your skin:

* Train for joy, not punishment

Whether it’s a 10-minute walk, 20 squats, or stretching before bed, decide on any one small habit and then practice it everyday without fail.

* Pair workouts with an emotional trigger
