Mahavatar Narsimha tops Netflix charts for over 24 hours, sets new milestone for Indian animation

Mahavatar Narsimha creates new streaming record

Mahavatar Narsimha, produced by Hombale Films and Kleem Productions, is riding high on the box office success, contributing to the pride of Indian cinema. The first instalment in the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, the film has been smashing records ever since its release and has established new standards for Indian animated movies.

Following the theatrical success, the film is now making waves on OTT and has been at the top of the charts for more than twenty-four hours.

With its OTT release, Mahavatar Narsimha continues to win over the hearts of the general public. By staying at the top of the Netflix charts for over twenty-four hours, the movie has reached yet another significant milestone. It has continued its successful run by becoming the audience's first choice on OTT.

Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under the banner of Kleem Productions, Mahavatar Narsimha was presented by Hombale Films, known for their compelling content.

Mahavatar Narsimha was released in 3D and in five Indian languages on 25th July 2025.

The film continued to break all the records and became the first animation since 2005 to bring a storm to the box office.

The action-adventure follows the demon Hiranyakashyap, who seeks revenge on Vishnu and declares himself a god. His son Prahlad remains devoted to Vishnu. Vishnu manifests as Narsimha to defeat the demon and restore balance.

Hombale Films and Kleem Productions have also officially unveiled the lineup for this ambitious animated franchise, which will span over a decade and chronicle the divine avatars of Lord Vishnu: Mahavatar Narsimha (2025), Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dwarkadhish (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 (2035), and Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 (2037).
