Leading mutual fund investment company HDFC AMC on June 17 announced the appointment of Harish Narayanan as the chief marketing officer and chief digital officer, the company said in a statement.
Narayanan will lead the firm’s marketing and digital initiatives, "driving its mission to be the wealth creator for every Indian."
He has previously served as the chief growth officer of Upstox, where he led its marketing, partnerships, and growth.
Narayanan, who has a total work experience of over 17 years, was also the chief marketing officer and head of monetization at Myntra. Before that, he has also worked at Google YouTube marketing team. He has also worked at Procter & Gamble’s team in Singapore.
Narayanan holds an MBA from IIM Lucknow and a Bachelor's in computer engineering from Mumbai University. “His extensive expertise and innovative approach make him a valuable addition to the HDFC AMC team,” the company said in its press statement.
Earlier this month, the fund house had extended it MD & CEO Navneet Munot's term by another five years. This extension, will be in effect from July 1, 2024 up to June 30, 2029, "subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company."
In its quarter ended 31 March 2024, HDFC AMC reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 540.84 crore. Net profit rose 43.77 percent year-on-year from Rs 376.17 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
The AMC’s consolidated revenue increased by 28.55 percent to Rs 695.43 crore against Rs 540.95 crore in the previous year, the company announced in the results announced after market hours.
