    Shares of Cholamandalam Financial Holdings were trading 1 percent lower at open on September 25. Promoter entity Ambadi Enterprises, on September 22, exited the company by selling its personal shareholding of 10.58 lakh shares (0.56 percent stake) via open market transactions. As of 10:25 am, the stock was trading at Rs 1169.10, 2 percent lower than close on September 22.

    According to bulk deal data, Cholamandalam Financial Holdings' promoter entity Ambadi Enterprises exited the company by selling 10.58 lakh shares via open market transactions at an average price of Rs 1,151.02 per share. At the same time, Nomura India Investment Fund Mother Fund bought 14.51 lakh shares in the company at an average price of Rs 1,145.3 per share, amounting to Rs 166.18 crore.

    For the quarter ending June 2023, financial service provider, Cholamandalam Financial Holdings reported a 42.9 percent increase in net sales to Rs 5,625.65 crore. Net Profit for the same period also grew by 38.36 percent from Rs. 267.49 crore in June 2022. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation was up 58.96 percent to Rs. 3,129.87 crore in June 2023.

    In August 2023, according to a regulatory filing, the Murugappa family, who are members of the promoter group had come to an settlement of all outstanding legal disputes and differences with Valli Arunachalam, the eldest daughter of former Murugappa group chairman, late MV Murugappan. According to the filing, the resolution was reached through a family arrangement. The legal battle had been ongoing since 2020.
