NLC India share price gained in the early trade on February 5 following the company emerged as a successful bidder for new Patrapara South Coal Mine in Angul District of Odisha.
At 09:29am, NLC India was quoting at Rs 227.65, up Rs 0.70, or 0.31 percent, on the BSE.
The coal mine block is having a total geological reserve of 720.87 million tonnes (Approximately) with a peak rated capacity of 12 million tonnes per annum.
This is the third commercial coal mine for the company, crossing 100 million tonnes of mining capacity commitment in line with its corporate plan 2030, company said.

The company had reported 166.8 percent jump in its net profit at Rs 668.09 crore against Rs 250.42 crore in December 2023.
The revenue from operations was up 39.4 percent at Rs 4,411.41 crore against Rs 3,164.40 crore, YoY.
In January, the company's subsidiary, NLC India Renewables, has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Assam Power Distribution Company for the development of a solar power project in Assam.
The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 311.65 and a 52-week low of Rs 193.00 on 16 July, 2024 and 05 June, 2024, respectively.
Currently, the stock is trading 26.95 percent below its 52-week high and 17.95 percent above its 52-week low.
