Yamuna Expressway Authority launches scheme to allot 119 industrial plots

The scheme is being offered in Sectors 28,29,32 and 33. The plots will house toy parks, handicrafts and furniture manufacturing units. The scheme closes on October 27.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has floated a scheme for the allotment of 119 industrial plots located in Sectors 28, 29, 32 and 33. These plots are reserved for different categories of industries such as toy parks, handicrafts and furniture manufacturing parks among others, officials said.

The scheme will close on October 27. The plots will be allotted through a draw of lots on November 17. Here are five things to know about the industrial plots scheme:

Location

These industrial plots are located in proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport, eastern-western freight corridors, upcoming International Film City in sector 21 and the medical device park. According to officials, these plots will have good access to the Yamuna Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE).

Number of plots

Under the scheme, 119 industrial plots are being offered. Five plots have been put on sale under the toy park category and will house manufacturing units related to toys. Similarly, 41 plots have been offered for setting up handicrafts and furniture manufacturing units. As many as 63 plots have been offered under the MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) category.

Sizes

The industrial plots are being offered in eight different sizes - 300 square metres (sqm) (17 plots), 450 sqm (32 plots), 595 sqm (17), 1,000 sqm (20 plots), 1,800 sqm (9 plots), 2,000 sqm (9 plots), 3,000 sqm (3 plots) and two plots of 4,000 sqm size.

Plots reserved for the toy category have a single size of 1,800 sqm while the sizes of plots for the handicrafts and furniture manufacturing category range from 450 sqm to 3,000 sqm. Similarly, plot sizes being offered under the general or MSME category range between 300 sqm and 4,000 sqm.

Price

The plots will be allotted at a rate of Rs 13,542 per sqm irrespective of size and category. The prices range between Rs 40.62 lakh and Rs 5.41 crore depending on the size. The registration amount has been kept at 10 percent of the total cost of the plot. It ranges between Rs 4.06 lakh and Rs 54.16 lakh. The applicants will also have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 15,000 excluding GST.

Payment Plan

Applicants will have to pay 30 percent of the total amount (including the registration fee) within 60 days from the date of issue of the allotment letter. The remaining 70 percent shall be payable in 10 half-yearly EMIs. An interest of 10 percent will be charged on the outstanding amount.
