Zerodha said on 12 July that some users may be experiencing issues with their BSE Futures and Options (F&O) orders. The problem was due to a connectivity issue with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), and has resulted in orders appearing in the "Open Pending" state, said Zerodha in a post on X (Twitter).

The brokerage firm clarified that this issue is not isolated to Zerodha but affects brokers across the board. Angel One users also complained on social media that they were not able to square off positions.

Later, Zerodha confirmed that the issue had been resolved by the exchange.

In their communication, Zerodha stated, "Due to a connectivity issue at BSE, some of our users may be seeing orders in the 'Open Pending' state for BSE F&O orders. This issue is across brokers. We are working with BSE to update the status of these orders."

Zerodha has provided a bulletin link for users to keep track of all the updates.

A few weeks ago too, Zerodha encountered a user outage and technical glitches.

On June 21, traders experienced significant issues when stocks like India Cement, which were no longer under the F&O ban, were erroneously shown as banned. This glitch prevented traders from placing orders during a critical trading period.

This issue followed another technical glitch on June 3 when users encountered disruptions that prompted widespread complaints on social media platforms. Users said that they were struggling to access Kite Web as the website was down.
