Minda Corp surges 8% after huge block deal

Shares of Minda Corporation Ltd jumped around 8 percent after around 10.90 million, or 4.5 percent stake, in the company changed hands in a bunch, according to Bloomberg. Details of the buyers and sellers were not immediately known.

At 9.15 am, the stock was trading at Rs 439 on BSE, up 8 percent from its previous close, while the benchmark Sensex was up 0.28 percent at 72,627 points.

Recently, Minda Corp, part of Spark Minda, said it has secured a deal with a leading Japanese 2W firm to produce smart key systems at its Pune facility.

The collaboration, emphasising "Make in India". positions Minda as a global leader in vehicle access solutions, marking the first phase of a significant order. Executive Director Aakash Minda said the firm was committed to advancing product and technology offerings to meet growing consumer demands for premiumization.
