Larsen and Toubro’s buildings and factories construction vertical has secured multiple 'significant' orders in India, said the company on 18 June. Engineering and construction giant L&T classifies orders valued at Rs 1,000-2,500 crore as ‘significant’.
In a stock exchange filing, L&T said that it has received an order from the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Hyderabad to construct a super speciality hospital in Gachibowli. The project involves civil structures, finishes, facade, interiors, MEP services, paramedical work, and external development, including landscaping, covering a total built-up area of 1.1 million square feet.
Additionally, L&T has won an order to build an office space in Mumbai with a built-up area of approximately 1.3 million square feet. This project includes civil and composite steel structure work and is expected to be completed in 20 months.
Last week, L&T announced a 'large' offshore order from ONGC for the Daman Upside Development Project - Wellhead Platforms & Pipelines (DUDP-WP) off India's West coast, valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. The project includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of four wellhead platforms, a 140-km pipeline, and associated topside modifications at the Tapti Daman block.
As of 10:15 am on Tuesday, June 18, L&T shares were trading flat at Rs 3,689.35 each. The stock has gained 55.7 percent over the past year.
