Lenovo India has announced the appointment of Priya Tikare as director and head of human resources. Based in Bengalur , she will lead all HR functions for the India business, serving as both the head of HR and site HR leader.
Tikare is a Lenovo veteran who brings over 20 years of people management experience and has thrived in other leadership roles within the organisation in the past, the company saud.
Prior to this, she was the Global HR Director for Lenovo's International Services Support and the Asia Pacific Talent Acquisition Leader. Holding an MBA, she is a computer science graduate.
Tikare’s understanding of the Indian talent pool and her focus on strategic initiatives chalked out by the global technology company placing India at the centre, will contribute to the rapid growth and development of India as the central talent hub, Lenovo India said in a statement.
In her new role, Tikare’s focus will on developing programs and systems that empower employees, foster collaboration, and enhance overall productivity, the statement added.
Lenovo aims to create more job opportunities as a part of its planned multi-year investment in the region, introducing more than 1,000 technical jobs in the next few years.
