Avenue Supermarts Q2 results: DMart parent reports 4% rise in profit, 15.5% growth in revenue

Avenue Supermarts: The company’s net profit stood at Rs 685 crore, compared to Rs 659 crore in the same quarter last year — an increase of 3.9% year-on-year (YoY).

    Avenue Supermarts Ltd, the operator of the retail chain DMart, on Saturday reported a 3.85% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 684.85 crore for the quarter ended September 2025. The company had posted a profit of Rs 659.44 crore in the same quarter last year, according to a regulatory filing.

    Revenue from operations rose 15.45% year-on-year to Rs 16,676.30 crore, compared to Rs 14,444.50 crore in the July–September quarter of the previous fiscal.

    "PAT margin stood at 4.1 per cent in Q2FY26 as compared to 4.6 per cent in Q2FY25," the company said in its earnings statement.

    Total expenses during the quarter increased 16% to Rs 15,751.08 crore, while total income — which includes other income — stood at Rs 16,695.87 crore, reflecting a 15.3% year-on-year rise.

    DMart adds eight new stores in Q2

    Commenting on the company’s performance, Anshul Asawa, CEO-Designate, Avenue Supermarts Limited, said:

    “Our revenue in Q2 FY26 grew by 15.4% over the previous year. Profit after tax (PAT) grew by 5.1% over the previous year. Two years and older DMart stores grew by 6.8% during Q2 FY26 as compared to Q2 FY25.

    Following the government’s recent announcement on GST reforms, we passed on the benefit of reduced GST rates to all our customers, wherever applicable.

    We opened 8 new stores during the quarter. Our total stores stand at 432 as on September 30, 2025.”

    DMart Ready Expands in metros, exits Five Cities

    Vikram Dasu, Whole Time Director and CEO, Avenue E-Commerce Limited, commented on the performance of the company’s e-commerce arm, DMart Ready:

    “We added 10 new fulfilment centers in our existing markets and continued to invest and deepen our presence in the large metro cities. We ceased operations in 5 cities (Amritsar, Belagavi, Bhilai, Chandigarh and Ghaziabad) during the quarter. We are now present across 19 cities in India.”

    Promoted by Radhakishan Damani and his family, Avenue Supermarts operates the DMart retail chain, which sells a wide range of basic home and personal products. The company has a strong presence across major markets, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, NCR, Chhattisgarh, and Daman.
