 
            
                           Infosys announced on December 16 the inauguration of a development center at the Mihan-SEZ in Maharashtra's Nagpur. Covering 265,000 sq.ft., Infosys has invested over Rs 230 crore in this facility, designed to offer a hybrid work model and supporting the re-skilling and up-skilling of local talent.
The development center, accommodating over 3,000 employees, aligns with Infosys’ future-ready hybrid workplace strategy. It provides an opportunity for employees to engage with next-gen technologies such as cloud, AI, and digital, spanning industries like telecommunications, banking, retail, aerospace, automobile, logistics, and manufacturing, according to a press release.
In accordance with Infosys’ ESG commitments and green building standards, the office prioritizes occupant health, efficiency, and sustainable practices. Innovative systems are integrated to reduce natural resource consumption, including energy, water, etc. The campus features low-energy cooling, smart building automation, efficient rainwater harvesting, and 100 percent recycling of wastewater, it added.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, and Infosys executives.
Gadkari said the development center is a significant milestone for the city's growth, and it will act as a catalyst for ecosystem development, creating employment opportunities and contributing to the state's IT sector.

Devendra Fadnavis said Infosys putting Nagpur on its global development center map is a source of pride, and that the company's commitment to green practices aligns with their vision for a better future.

Nilanjan Roy, the CFO of Infosys, said the Nagpur center contributes to its business growth, job opportunities, sustainability, and ecosystem development.
