LG aims Rs 16K-cr sales turnover in 2012
LG Electronics India today said it is targetting a sales turnover of Rs 350 crore from Kerala during the Onam festival season and Rs 16,000 crore pan-India during 2012.

LG Electronics India today said it is targetting a sales turnover of Rs 350 crore from Kerala during the Onam festival season and Rs 16,000 crore pan-India during 2012.
Onam, one of the biggest festivals in Kerala, is on August 28 this year.Last year, the turnover was much less, Y V Verman, Director (Home Appliances) at LG India, told reporters here.Announcing the 'Onam' festival plan for the Kerala market, he said the company was eyeing sales growth of 20% this season with a targeted turnover of rs 350 crore from the state.The total turnover being targetted from the state is Rs 750 crore, while Rs 16,000 crore is the national target.Pointing that LG had absorbed lot of extra costs due to rupee depreciation (20%) and raw material cost hike (15%), due to which they had increased prices of all products by 15%, he said.Sudheer P, Regional Manager, Chennai said the 'BhagyaSparsham' offer during Onam assures chance of gifts on every purchase of LG products besides a chance to win exciting maga prize of a fully sponsored trip to Sri Lanka for T20. The offer is valid from July 16-Aug 31 across all LG authorised outlets in the state.LG is leading in Kerala market with a market share of 32.6% (Jan-April 2012) in Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics.Among the new products being launched for the festival season are Cinema Screen 3 D range which is available in from 32 inches to 72 inches in different screen sizes with a price range from Rs 46,000 to Rs 7 lakh and Health Guard Refrigerators.
