Kajol channels goddess energy in a black saree and bejewelled armour-inspired blouse

Kajol is all set to be seen in the film Maa, and she turned up at its trailer launch in a black saree by label Torani that reflected the essence of Goddess Kali’s spirit—fearless and powerful.

Sporting the flowing silhouette, Kajol looked bold and stunning in the elegantly draped black saree. It was paired with a bejewelled gold blouse that stood out for its intricate design.

The actress styled the outfit with statement arm cuffs, enhancing its edgy appeal. Her hair was worn straight with a slight bounce in the front, and her makeup was, as always, flawless and defined—with the bindi serving as the final, perfect touch.

Kajol’s stylist, Radhika Mehra, decoded the look on Instagram and wrote, “KAJOL serving Goddess Vibes in custom @toraniofficial. For the trailer launch and her first look for Maa, I knew I had to go straight to @karantorani to bring this vision to life and wow, look at his magic!”

She added, “This look is inspired by the powerful energy of Goddess Kali. The deep black saree reflects her iconic ash-toned skin—raw, fierce, and full of primal strength. We kept the drape loose and fluid, just the way we imagined Kali Maa herself would wear it—wild, free, and totally unapologetic.”

And she concluded, “The gold corset blouse? A modern twist on traditional armour. It’s bold, it’s beautiful, and it’s got that divine feminine edge—part jewellery, part power statement. Every detail in this look channels the fearless spirit of Kali Ma—not just in appearance, but in essence.”

Kajol kickstarted the promotions of the film a few days ago in Kolkata, where she sought Maa Kaali’s blessings. For the occasion, she wore a summer-fresh pink saree with a decorated border and kept the rest of the look clean, accessorising with just statement earrings.
