Hair fall can result from a variety of factors, each contributing to the thinning or loss of hair. One of the most common causes is genetic predisposition, known as androgenetic alopecia or pattern baldness, which affects both men and women. Hormonal changes, such as those occurring during pregnancy, menopause, or due to thyroid disorders, can also lead to hair loss.

Nutritional deficiencies, particularly of vitamins and minerals like iron, biotin, and vitamin D, play a significant role. Also, Stress, both physical and emotional, can trigger a type of hair loss known as telogen effluvium, where hair follicles enter a resting phase prematurely. Additionally, harsh hair treatments, excessive styling, and the use of chemical products can damage hair and lead to breakage and loss. Addressing the underlying cause is crucial for effective treatment.

Below are eight natural ways to tackle baldness, incorporating dietary changes, herbal remedies, and lifestyle adjustments suggested by Noida- based Dermatologist Sikha Ranawat.

Healthy diet: Eating a balanced diet rich in biotin, iron, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids is crucial for hair health. Foods like eggs, nuts, spinach, and fish provide essential nutrients that strengthen hair and promote growth.

Herbal remedies: Herbs like saw palmetto, aloe vera, and ginseng have been traditionally used to support hair growth. Saw palmetto may block the hormone responsible for hair loss, aloe vera soothes the scalp, and ginseng stimulates hair follicles.

Scalp massage: Regularly massaging the scalp can improve blood circulation to hair follicles. Using essential oils such as rosemary or peppermint oil during massage can enhance these benefits, promoting healthier hair growth.

Essential oils: Applying diluted essential oils like rosemary, peppermint, and lavender to the scalp can stimulate hair growth. These oils improve blood circulation and provide a calming effect, encouraging a healthy scalp environment.

Onion juice: Rich in sulfur, onion juice can boost collagen production, aiding hair growth. Apply it to the scalp, leave it on for 15-30 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly to benefit from its properties.

Green tea: The antioxidants in green tea can promote hair growth. Applying green tea to the scalp and drinking it regularly can provide the necessary nutrients for healthy hair.
